A Phoenix in Winter
A downloadable book
A collection of flash fiction written by Ellis Smith and read by Surena Marie.
These six flash fics about death and rebirth include space ships, mecha, fencers on the moon, and more than one person crying. I hope they inspire and entertain you and most importantly of all, that you drank water today.
You will receive the book in PDF format, as well as access to the audiobook. (If you have other formats you'd like the book in, please let me know and I will do what I can to accommodate them!)
At the time of recording, I had not yet changed my name, and thus the audiobook is still attributed to "Jeff Ellis". This is fine, and I do not consider Jeff to be a dead name, even if it's not my preferred name.
Content Warnings!
Depictions and discussions of death, scenes of violence, fire and burning, filicide, alcohol use, divorce-related trauma, blood and gore, and one very brief mention of sexual assault that does not go into any detail
